The ABSL Hungary Board is pleased to invite you to our upcoming Legal Webinar (via Zoom) on the 13th of July from 9 AM with Dr. Gábor T. Fodor about the transposition of two EU directives that are expected to be a major labor-related administrative task.
The directives are supposed to be formally transposed into Hungarian law in early August 2022, but this is not expected to happen until early autumn.
However, it is likely that the administrative burden of complying with the amended Hungarian labor legislation based on the directives will be significant, therefore – as it is best to start preparing in time – this presentation will inform you about the content of the directives.
While the Hungarian transposition legislation may contain some detailed rules not covered by the directives or some amendments to labor legislation that are not related to the directives, it is expected that the Hungarian legislation will be broadly in line with the rules of the directives.
For this reason, in order to start preparations in good time, it is worth attending this presentation.
As soon as the Hungarian transposition legislation is available, we will present it to you in a second presentation.
In the context of Directive 2019/1152 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union, attention should be drawn to the more detailed content of the information that is to be provided by the employer. In addition, the content of the information to be provided in the case of employment abroad will be significantly extended. The deadline for providing the information will also be shortened.
The probationary period and the conditions for the establishment of additional employment will also be changed and the rules on mandatory training will be clarified.
And for parents and carers, Directive 2019/1158 on work-life balance will extend the scope of childcare-related absences.
